At the very outset, I on behalf of college family welcome you to this premier institution of higher education. It gives immense pleasure to welcome all the candidate who seek admission in to B.A.course in our college. The college was established in the year 1992 (affiliated to Gauhati University) to give an opprtunity to those who are deprives of high quality education mainly in our backward places. It has been maintaining high academic standard. It is a provincialized college and affiliated to Gauhati University and recognized by UGC, New Delhi. The college has very good infrastructure Administration building, Computer Laboratory, Educational Laboratory, Library facilitated with with text books, reference books, a good number of Magazines, daily Newspapers, Journals,  spacious Auditorium,  Boys’ Hostel, College Canteen, etc. Besides, the college has Wi-Fi facilities, NSS, Career Counseling and Guidance Cell, Health Cell. The college provides scholarships to economically backward students. The college has also established study Centres of GU-IDOL and Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University and offers Undergraduate and Post-graduate courses. However, there is still a lot more to achieve and I am hopeful that in the coming days college will climb the great height of glory.
